The Journey

Madhavan Nambiar - Mentor

Madhavan Nambiar, who belongs to the 1974 batch of the Indian Administrative Service, retired as Secretary, Civil Aviation, Government of India after 36 years of service. He held several important positions in the State Government of Tamil Nadu as well as the Government of India. He was for several years a Visiting Fellow at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University, New York. He was also a Fellow at the Entrepreneurship Centre, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK.

He is presently Advisor to Chairman Tata Sons, and Advisor, KPMG and also on the Boards of several companies. As Chairman,IIIT MK, he was closely associated with the setting up of Maker Village, the largest electronic incubator in the country. He is currently Chairman, Maker Village.

Sanjay Pillai - Co-Founder

Sanjay has over 20 plus years of experience in the Corporate Affairs, Human Resources, Regulatory & Media space. Sanjay has worked in Media, Real Estate, Automotive and the Power & Infrastructure sector across companies like Business Standard, The Hindu Business Line, Emaar Properties and Hyundai Motor India. He is a post graduate in English Literature from Loyola College, Chennai and is an INSEAD Alumnus.

John Joy - Co-Founder

John is a Mechanical Engineer from Madras University and an INSEAD Alumnus with over 20 years of experience in Product Design and Development. He has extensive experience in device manufacturing spread across industrial and medical devices and has worked with leading multinationals like GE Healthcare, Ingersoll Rand and Tata Consulting Services.
